University of Florida faculty practicing at Shands Hospital at UF, and the Evelyn F. and William L. McKnight Brain Institute at UF offer a broad range of services for patients with pituitary tumors and associated disorders. Continuing the tradition of founder, Dr. Albert L. Rhoton, Jr., the program is directed by Dr. Steven N. Roper. The UF Pituitary Surgery Program has treated over 1,000 patients with pituitary tumors, most commonly through an endonasal approach that avoids an incision under the lip or on the nasal septum.
