The PNA is looking forward to the upcoming conference for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, set for Oct. 30th - Nov. 2nd in Memphis, Tennessee.  The PNA will have a booth and has been invited to present at one of the breakout sessions. Our presentation, entitled Hormonal and Mental Health: Essentials for Standards of Care, will be on Saturday,
November 1, 2008 from 2:15 PM - 4:15 PM. This is the fourth such program we have presented at and they have been an instant success. Marriage and Family Therapists often see the pituitary patients before any other type of doctor.  However, these “first responders” often don’t have a clue what they are looking at or working with.  We are proud to have Linda Rio, MFT serve on the PNA’s board or directors.  Together, we will expand the PNA’s 1 in 5 campaign to educate therapists about the emotional symptoms of pituitary diseases and disorders.

The 13th International Congress of Endocrinology will be held in Rio de Janeiro from November 08 to 12, 2008. This meeting is a comprehensive international gathering of endocrinologists, endocrine scientists, trainees and students. For more information, go to http://www.ice2008rio.com/index.htm.

DECEMBER IN THE DESERT 2008
Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, California. December 15, 16, 17th.

This comprehensive meeting crosses the spectrum from hormonal health awareness, to the latest in medical and surgical advances in diagnosis and treatment. This conference is designed for all medical and mental health providers, patients and families, and the general public.  CME credits are expected to be available for medical professionals.
We are proud to announce that our honorary Chairman of the Board of Governors of the PNA, Scott Hamilton, will be our honored guest and recipient of the 2008 Gentle Giant Award at a special banquet during the conference.
