Hello Saint Thomas,

I am not a medical professional, but I did send your question to one of our advisors. She recommends that you have your adrenal axis tested with a cortrosyn stim test now if you had low cortisol in the past. I hope this helps.

Take care,
Tammy

Low Cortisol levels was created by Saint Thomas

Hi:
I have Empty Sella Syndrome with most if not all pituitary functions compromised.
Probably started with tubercular meningitis at an early age.
I am now 61 years old.
Recently due to extreme fatigue, had my synthroid increased from 0.100mg to 0.125mg .
Now less than 2 weeks after increase in synthroid, my energy is totally zapped caused by (I suspect) low cortisol levels.
This has happened in the past.
Can anyone tell me how an increase in synthroid can cause your cortisol to drop ?
