× Rathke's pouch is a normal component of embryological development which eventually forms the pituitary gland. This pouch normally closes early in fetal development, but a remnant often persists as a cleft that lies within the pituitary gland.

I am not an expert in the field, but it sounds like you need one. Are any of your doctors experienced with pituitary disorders? Check our site for physicians in your area or travel if you have to but find a doctor with experience who will take you seriously and listen to you. The Pituitary Patient Resource Guide has a wealth of information as well.
