Where to go from here? was created by HannahS

Hi everyone,
I just found the Pituitary Network today and I'm blown away by all the information.  To share a little about my journey, two years ago I experienced a miscarriage at 15 weeks which seemed to set into motion a whole slew of health issues.  I was unable to get pregnant again after the miscarriage so I started seeing a doctor to see if we could find the cause.  I had healthy pregnancies before this. I was diagnosed with low progesterone and low estrogen.  My symptoms include the inability to lose weigh, water retention, infertility, low libido, spotting throughout my cycle, a short luteal phase, vaginal dryness, bacterial vaginosis, mood swings, hair loss, muscle cramps, tiredness, breast tenderness and still producing milk two years after miscarrying.  I also have rheumatoid arthritis and irritable bowel syndrome.  My doctor also tested my TSH which was a at .9mcIU/mL (.4-4)  and my T4 which was at  .4 ng/dL (.8-1.9).  She said that that looked good but I really don't know either way.  After seeing the low progesterone and estrogen I was put on HCG for about 6 months.  My hormone levels did go up on this (my estrogen actually went too high) and my tiredness went away, my depression/anxiety got better  and I did achieve a normal luteul phase.  Most of the other symptoms, however, continued.  I eventually went off the HCG because the cost was getting too high and I was able to keep a normalcy by using over the counter progesterone.  I stopped this last month, though, being fed up with everything and all of my symptoms are slowly but surely returning.     To be honest, I am just completely fed up and going on here is just about a last ditch effort.  It seems like I have enough symptoms to at least discuss a pituitary issue but never once has it come up with any doctor.  I don't even know where to turn next.  We live in SE MT, no where close to any of the specialists on this site.  I'm not sure if I should return to my PCP and ask them to retest my thyroid or simply put the pituitary idea out there.  I would love to have someone address the root cause of my issues rather then trying to bandage the symptoms with hormone replacements.  Over and over again I hear eat better and exercise but I have been eating an 80% whole foods diet for the last 7 years.  I also do Pilates or run several times a week and as a rule live an active lifestyle.  I have supplemented with every recommended vitamin and mineral out there and just can't continue with the drain it takes on my finances.  Please someone help!
