Froggy
Acromegaly patient and radio co-host of Elvis Duran and the Morning Show
Froggy, a renowned radio co-host of one of the most widely listened to morning shows, was diagnosed with a rare, but serious hormonal disorder called acromegaly in 2010. Following his diagnosis, Froggy underwent surgery to remove a portion of the noncancerous pituitary tumor that was causing his acromegaly and began a treatment regimen to help control his hormone levels. Living with acromegaly has been an emotional roller coaster for Froggy, but with the support of his friends and family he has been able to take control of his disease. After struggling for years with unexplained symptoms as a result of his disease, Froggy understands the importance of maintaining his health. He now uses his experiences to help educate about acromegaly and encourages others living with the disease to take control by being proactive in managing their acromegaly. Froggy’s Wife
Lisa, Froggy’s wife, was shocked when her husband was first diagnosed with acromegaly in 2010. She had never heard of the rare pituitary disorder and was unsure of the path forward. Knowing that Froggy would need support along this new journey, Lisa took steps to educate herself about the disease and management approaches. Since then, Lisa has been the primary source of support for Froggy, helping him stay on track with his treatment and monitoring plan, and offering emotional support when life with the disease becomes overwhelming. With Lisa’s support, Froggy has been able to properly manage and maintain control of his acromegaly. Lisa now uses her experiences with the disease to offer hope and encouragement to others whose loved ones are facing similar situations. To hear more about Lisa’s story, visit www.acromegalyinfo.com.
