 Chiasma Gets Approval for Oral Acromegaly Medication


The F.D.A. has given approval to Chiasma Inc for its MYCAPSSA (octreotide) capsules, which are used for long-term maintenance treatment in acromegalics. This is a first, and will allow patients with chronic acromegaly to avoid painful injections. It is projected to be available by the end of the year.
