2014 PNA Educational Webinar Series
By Tammy Mazzella, PNA
I cannot believe how fast this year is going. There are only two more webinars until the 2013 Webinar Series is completed. We are currently scheduling our 2014 webinar series and we would appreciate your input. What types of webinars interest you? Are there specific topics you would like us to cover? Are you interested in presenting a webinar? Contact Tammy@Pituitary.org with your ideas and suggestions or to volunteer to present.
The Pituitary Network Association is able to provide these webinars because of a dedicated team of individuals and organizations. Our team consists of:
Presenters – The physicians and others graciously donate their time, not just the hour for the webinar, but all of the time spent putting together the information and slides for the presentation. They share their expertise and knowledge and willingly answer questions at the end of the webinar and afterward through emails. The PNA is grateful to all of our presenters - we could not do this without you.
Supporters - The donors, members and supporters that provide the funding for the webinar series. With this support, the PNA is able to produce an annual webinar series that is informative, educational and helpful to patients, their families and other medical professionals. The PNA appreciates everyone who supports us whether through a grant, a donation, or by becoming a member of the PNA.
PNA office – A few dedicated people handle the entire behind-the-scenes, day-to-day operations of this organization. We painstakingly put together the webinars, our websites, the publications we make available and the conferences we participate in to spread awareness and educate as many people as we can reach.
Viewers – Without you, our viewers, there would be no webinar series. We provide this information to help patients and their families learn about their disorders, find out ways to treat them and improve their quality of life. We also provide information for health care providers so they have the knowledge to better diagnose patients who come to them for treatment. Our viewers are diverse and come from all over the world.
The PNA Webinar Educational Series has been viewed in more than 40 countries on 6 continents. This is unprecedented for an organization like ours. It also shows the prevalence of pituitary disorders and the widespread effects that it has. Pituitary and hormonal disorders affect 1 in 5 people, in every state, every country and on every continent. The Pituitary Network Association is devoted to help educate the public and the medical community about the signs and symptoms of pituitary disorders. The average time it takes for a correct diagnosis is still far too long in most cases. Help us get the word out, help support the PNA. Become a member, donate, or volunteer.
