FDA Approves New Drug For Cushing’s
The F-D-A has approved a new drug to treat Cushing’s disease. Isturisa (osilodrostat) oral tablets from Novartis are aimed at adults who are not candidates for surgery or who have experienced a recurrence post-surgery. It is the first FDA-approved drug that blocks 11-beta-hydroxylase and prevents cortisol synthesis in order to control cortisol overproduction.
