Pituitary Surgeon Uses "Gritflowness" To Get Best Result

boockvarPNA member Dr. John Boockvar, a neurosurgeon in New York City, has written an article for Thriveglobal.com on ways to improve results during surgery. He invented the term "gritflowness" to describe the combination of grit, flow, and mindfulness necessary to achieve the best outcome, in surgery or in any important endeavor. He explains that during high-stress events, it is important to breathe in and out several times, and prevent your fears from running amok. He says it helps to put the negative possibilities aside in order to establish the right mindset and concentrate on the task at hand. Dr. Boockvar is Vice Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC, which is part of Northwell Health. Read more: https://thriveglobal.com/stories/the-secret-of-gritflowness/
