Study: Providers and Acromegaly Patients Not Communicating Well

An article in Endocrinology Advisor looks at a study that found that patients and doctors are not on the same page when it comes to symptoms and severity in acromegaly. The doctors evidently overestimated the effectiveness of their protocol - because patients rated their symptoms as partially controlled only 43% of the time, whereas providers reported that number at 64%.
