Traces of a Pesticide Linked to Hypothyroidism Found in Beer and Wine

An article in features a study by U.S. Public Interest Research Group that tested 20 brands of beer and wine and found minute traces of glyphosate in 19 of them. Glyphosate is the active ingredient in RoundUp pesticide. The trace amounts are below the allowable government limits. The World Health Organization declared glyphosate a carcinogen 4 years ago. Studies have linked it to many conditions, including hypothyroidism, Alzheimer’s, autism and birth defects. Read more here:
